Отлично сохранившийся М 42
Не гнилая, сталь крепкая, геометрия шлема не нарушена.
Оригинальная краска сохранилась на 40%, местами проступает ржавчина.

Наличие большого количество ржавчины говорит о том что с августа 1942 года при производстве М42, немцы внесли ряд зменений в технологический процесс, а именно перестали добавлять  марганец и отказались от легирования стали, так же операция по завальцовке краёв, заменили на отбортовку.
Данные действия привели к ухудшению качества защитных шлемов.
А именно каски стали мягче при физическом воздействии на них.
